Spookin' Up the Neighborhood

You may be wondering why you are seeing some pink ghosts haunting trees in front of businesses and homes during October and the answer lies in a partnership between two organizations right here in Cape Girardeau.

The Pink Ghosts, also known as the Spook Your Neighbor project, is the partnering of the Lions Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Missouri to have fun and raise money for the American Cancer Society.

This initiative has been occurring for the past 4 years with the help of the members at Club that absolutely love crafting these boo-tiful ghosts. Each of the ghosts crafted by the kids is then sold by the Lions with 100% of the profits being donated to the American Caner Society.

Dave Baldwin, a Lions Club member, would like to thank "everyone's friends and neighbors," with a "special thanks needs to go to the small businesses that help out each year." And if you are interested in having a ghost for your yard, you can call (573) 579-7060!
