National Boys & Girls Club Week 2018 Review

Last week was a very busy week for everyone here at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Missouri and we are thankful for those people that celebrated with us throughout the week.

On Monday and Tuesday, we had two give-back nights: one at Minglewood Brewery and the other at Sugar Chic Creamery. We thank everyone that came out to support our youth in the community as 10% of all profits made each night came back to our organization. So your tasty pretzel or smidge of delicious ice cream went to a good cause.

Throughout the week, our office surprised the staff with goodie bags and a "Boys & Girls Club Walk of Fame" as an appreciation for all that they do for our members that attend our Cape Girardeau and Scott City programs.

Our members were able to give back this week as well. Their community service project for the week was to write notes to the individuals at the Ratliff Care Center here in Cape Girardeau. Our members wrote and decorated some very cute notes to the members and staff that we cannot wait to deliver to them!

The theme this year was "A Place to Become," so our Club members wrote down what Club helps them to become. Check out a few of them in the gallery below:
To close out the week, our members wrote some shout outs to their staff explaining why they like having them around. Read some of them in the gallery below:
We thank everyone for a fantastic week! Our Club would not be what it is now without the support of our staff, families, members and community members.
