What's Happening at Club?

It has been a rather busy this past November with a lot of exciting programs and events happening at our Clubs in Cape Girardeau and Scott City! Check out the photo galleries below and read about the exciting things that our members and staff have been up to!

Our SMARTLeaders group were able to participate in a program with Miss Nicole about acceptance. The group discussed what it means to accept yourself, as well as accepting others without judgement. Each of the members were then given a bracelet to symbolize acceptance and to remind them that everyone is unique in their own way.

For Veterans Day, member made cards, medals and letters to send to the local veterans in our community. They worked with two groups on campus, Phi Delta Theta and Alpha Phi, who delivered them to the veterans.

We had a lot of fun and exciting programming for Thanksgiving, but the one program that both of locations participated in was the Mayflower Challenge. Members created their own boats and tested to see which would hold the most items in it.

We love our friends at CENET and the visitors that they bring. This visitor talked about her homeland of Bangladesh and how the culture differed from the culture here in the United States.

A group of our members, with the help of our friends at EPIC and Catapult, were able to do a little print making demonstration. They inked up their blocks and pressed them on some paper. Each member was able to make two prints to take home with them. We look forward to more programs like this in the future with Catapult!

A big congratulations to Mrs. Stephani and Mr. Brandon for being recognized by our board this month for their dedication to the Club throughout this past year!

We have even more exciting programs and events that are coming up, so keep an eye out on our blog and Facebook for more details and photos!
